Empathy
 Week

Empathy week is an initiative you can sign your school up for now, for free (assuming you are not a private school). They employ storytelling and the power of film to create an "awe-inspiring whole school approach to empathy development". I think it looks really good, very professional and would likely be better than many things a school may try 'in-house' yet needs less effort and preparation. Seems like a no-brainer to me :-)

Clanbeat offers a way to keep in touch with your students' wellbeing, and it looks very nice. However, I am currently still clarifying what is free to use and what is paid for.

MeeToo

MeeToo is designed for young people to ask for help with their problems but also support others. There are a team of moderators and work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure that users get helpful responses. I think this is a wonderful product and we should all let our students know that it exists.

The British Red Cross has a number of teaching resources that are most simply described as helping people. Take a quick look and see if there is something that could help your students. Here is an video about loneliness that has some accompanying teaching resources.

Smiling Mind

Smiling Mind is an Australian not for profit organisation looking to improve young people's mental health, wellbeing etc. Now much of their training in schools is paid for, however their app is free, and it is a really nice app for anyone looking to get into meditation and mindfulness. It is also for any age group, so could be useful for staff as much as students.
